What does ERC mean?
We have been fortunate enough to see and hear what our work has meant to our participants and clients. Few things are as satisfying as seeing a participant succeed at a skill they thought was out of their reach. We have seen these same people develop these skills and use them to achieve life and career goals.
To them, ERC has meant: “a lasting change” “transformation.” To us, it has meant the opportunity to help others achieve their goals through simple, powerful communication skills.
What does ERC literally mean?
In 1982, David Charner and Barbara Martínez started English Resource Center, a language training company in Caracas, Venezuela.
English Resource Center, or ERC, was a nimble company, whose product portfolio grew and changed based on growing skills and client needs.
In 1986, ERC started delivering training in presentation, selling, negotiating and business writing skills; in addition to tailoring more specific business communication solutions.
So, the name “ERC” represents an important part of our history.
It’s also, in a certain way, a big part of our future.
